You can use a fun hamentashen or any cookie baking session to practice letters and numbers in a stress-free special way. After creating your dough circles get a squeeze bottle filled with any of type of filling. Instead of a meaningless dollop, have kids practice writing a letter or a number with the filling squeeze bottle. It would be extra fun to write the letters of a child’s name in different hamentashen. Fold the dough into the traditional triangle shape over the letters. The letters are little secrets that get baked into the hamentashen or cookies. Talk about the letters you are eating, words that start with those letters and enjoy!
